Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder to support industrial repair, maintenance, and fabrication activities in our workshop and at customer sites. The successful candidate will prepare, fit, and weld components in accordance with drawings, approved welding procedures, and job specifications.
Responsibilities
- • Carry out welding and fabrication of industrial components, supports, frames, and assemblies.
- • Perform the welding processes required for assigned work, such as SMAW, GTAW/TIG, or GMAW/MIG.
- • Read drawings and follow applicable welding procedure specifications.
- • Prepare joints through cutting, grinding, beveling, cleaning, and fit-up.
- • Select and handle welding consumables in accordance with approved procedures.
- • Control heat input, distortion, and weld quality during fabrication and repair.
- • Inspect completed welds visually and support required quality inspections.
- • Carry out weld repairs only within approved repair instructions and qualifications.
- • Follow hot-work permits, isolation requirements, and workshop or site safety procedures.
- • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and job records.
Requirements
- • ITI, trade certificate, or equivalent practical qualification in welding or fabrication.
- • Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial welding experience.
- • Demonstrated competence in the welding processes required for the role.
- • Ability to read fabrication drawings and follow welding procedures.
- • Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel; other materials will be an advantage.
- • Relevant welder qualification certificates are preferred; candidates must be able to pass the required practical assessment.
- • Experience in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or oil and gas services is preferred.
