Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manufacture and restore precision components used in industrial equipment. The successful candidate will set up and operate CNC machines, interpret engineering drawings, and produce components that meet specified dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Responsibilities
- • Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines according to assigned work.
- • Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, material specifications, and machining instructions.
- • Prepare or edit CNC programs within authorized competence.
- • Select cutting tools, workholding arrangements, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences.
- • Establish work offsets and tool offsets, and verify setups before production.
- • Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- • Adjust machining parameters to maintain quality and control tool wear.
- • Machine new components and support the restoration of existing industrial parts.
- • Maintain production records, tooling, and routine machine care.
- • Follow safe work-holding, guarding, lifting, and machine operating procedures.
Requirements
- • ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Machining, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- • Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
- • Practical experience setting up and operating CNC turning and/or milling equipment.
- • Working knowledge of CNC programming and the machine controls used.
- • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric and dimensional tolerances.
- • Proficiency with micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- • Experience machining components for pumps, valves, hydraulics, or industrial machinery is preferred.
- • CAM programming experience will be an advantage.
